With L-elf in mourning of Liselotte’s death, Haruto and co. still need to stop the Magius.  But how?

RECAP:  Having returned home to Module 77, Haruto and co. are caught up to date on what has transpired in their absence.  Shoko and the rest of the students have been doing a tremendous job on the political front.  However, everything Liselotte told Haruto about the Magius is still a lingering threat.  To make matters worse, L-elf, in his depression, is temporarily out of the game.  When a conference is held to condemn Dorssia for their attack on JIOR, the Magius pre-emptively halts the televised meeting to show the threat New JIOR actually holds: by demonstrating the “curse” of Rukino Saki.

Haruto has every reason to be aggravated with the current situation.  He knows who his true enemy is, but has no way or idea of how to fight back with a plan.  That job has always been L-elf’s.  But with the loss of Liselotte, he is stuck in his own world fruitlessly trying to find a way that he could have saved her.  This battle is very similar to that of fighting against the Illuminati: How can you fight a power you cannot see or find?

A-drei must have talked with Saki.  He is beginning to show signs of doubt in his eyes.  Considering his respect of L-elf, he too wants to understand why L-elf would defect.  He absolutely knows that he wouldn’t become a traitor for no good reason.  In the end, I see the three remaining Dorssian agents fighting against Cain.  It is only a matter of if they’ll be caught along the way or survive until the final battle.

The international conference to bring Dorssia’s attack on JIOR to justice is brought to a halt as the Magius initiate a plan of their own.  By demonstrating first-hand the power of the “cursed” among the JIOR students, through the captive Rukino Saki, Dorssia is able to quickly turn the tides of war back at JIOR.  With this, the people are now in fear of the “monsters” among the JIOR students.  And in that fear, the people of ARUS and other countries will no longer wish to support New JIOR.  As the title of the next episode claims, “The Cost of Lies,” the hidden truth of the Curse has come to bite them back.  From this point on, it may as well be Haruto versus the universe.

Furthermore, there is the matter of how the reporter and JIOR scientists caught word of what was going to happen at this conference.  Is there a rat among our heroes or is there something even more?

Rating:  3.5/5

X-ein has accidentally found H-neun’s dead drop.  Surely, it contains everything about Cain.
