Yura-tachi prep for the 24-hour tournament. How will they fare without their Ace?
RECAP: When an unknown assailant with a modded-BB gun attacks Sonora and Yura in the streets, an accident forces Sonora into the hospital. Guilty of her actions, Yura places herself in senpai’s leadership position to train and motivate the rest of the team. Slightly annoyed by her serious attitude, the girls still aim to go to the tournament in an attempt to win.
With Sonora-senpai out of the game, our C3-bu is heavily gimped. Because of her rash action to find the unknown assailant, Yura feels guilty that Sonora was injured while saving her from that car. It is a very unfortunate turn of events, but may be quite calculated and better than planned for the assailant.
Yura takes up the leader role in Sonora’s stead, but it may be too much for the rest of the club. Yura desperately wants to win, especially for Sonora’s sake. However, like we’ve observed before, she is losing sight of what is truly important with Airsoft: having fun. The girls sort of understand what Yura wants to accomplish and they go along with it. But is that really for the best right now? Someone needs to confront Yura already, and Sonora is unable to do so at the moment.
I have a feeling that Yura’s current mindset is precisely what divided Sonora and Haruna Rin a couple years ago. It is very likely that Haruna Rin’s “must win at all costs” mindset conflicted with Sonora’s “have fun and win” mindset. Slowly, Yura has veered towards the former, and Sonora has been growing concern over it. Without a doubt, Yura is talented in her own ways for Airsoft. But that talent will be for naught if she focuses entirely on just winning.
Although all signs seem to point Haruna Rin as the perpetrator, I feel that she is not the one who attacked Sonora and Yura.
I loved this montage.
