Which is more important to win: an Airsoft game or a Takoyaki-eating contest?
RECAP: C3-bu travels to a lone island for a training exercise with Kansai’s Seto Team. There, we see Yura begin to take charge in her new attitude towards the game. However, Yura just might be too aggressive in that aspect, leaving Sonora-senpai concerned. Regardless, the rest of them team is pretty happy as Yura 2.0 takes the initiative to become the MVP of this excursion.
Is it just me or did the opening animation change to fit Yura’s new look and attitude? Or was I just not paying attention last episode? A pretty nice touch, if you ask me.
EDIT: I just checked Ep.04. Yes, I was not paying attention to the new Yura in the OP. lol
Anyways, our girls are suddenly participating in an island camping practice session with one of the best Airsoft teams in the Kansai region, the Seto Team. This works well as a great exercise, considering the nature of the terrain. What excited me more was Yura’s imaginary world recreated D-day and the storm attack on the shores of Normandy; which happens to be my most favorite WWII battle. All of Sonora-senpai’s war movies getting to her head again, I bet. lol
Even though Yura’s attitude has changed since last episode’s “spiritual lesson,” she still carries doubt in the back of her mind. The nightmare she has about becoming someone the team can count on, then letting them down is her subconscious reminding her of the possibility of failure. How she felt that day at the tournament is something she doesn’t want to experience again. However, that brings up another question: Is it worth winning if you lose the aspect of having fun?
I really think that is what Sonora-senapi may be observing in Yura’s current actions. Earlier, Yura gazed at the beauty of the purple flowers. But during the 2nd skirmish, Yura trampled over a bed of similar flowers without knowing. Tunnel-vision? Maybe. Yura seems to have become so fixated on winning that she is losing sight of her surroundings. On the battlefield, this can be very bad as it places you, and those following you, in danger of enemy attack. I have a feeling that next episode will see to it that Yura realizes her faults in what may likely result in another loss for C3-bu.
And let us not forget the flag-raising at Iwo Jima.
… or not.
I don’t even need to comment on this. LOL!
