Manga Monday Ch.33 – Onani Master Kurosawa

It’s Manga Monday.  A weekly post highlighting a different series.  I’ll mostly do posts on completed or ongoing series that are regularly updated.  While I do not condone scanlations, please support the creator and licensing companies by purchasing the work where available.

This week’s manga is – Onani Master Kurosawa

Summary (Mangainn.com):

Meet Kurosawa. He’s a middle school student, doesn’t have much of a social life and considers the people around him, and their petty lives, a bother. His hobbies are reading, listening to music, and… masturbating. Particularly, his greatest vice is jacking off in an abandoned girls toilet every day after school while fantasizing about his female classmates, a task he considers to be his ‘daily duty’ and builds his entire schedule and life around.

When he uses his “abilities” to get revenge on some students picking on a classmate, Kitahara, he gets caught red-handed by said girl, who proceeds to blackmail him into continuing to “help” her get revenge on the people who bully her. Things only escalate when the two partners in crime make friends with Nagaoka, the head of the class’ otaku, and Takegawa, a girl who Kurosawa likes.

As things spin wildly out of control, and Kurosawa begins to realize his changing feelings, things come crashing down and Kurosawa is forced to realize what he really desires in this world.

Hako’s Thoughts:

Much like Molester Man, Kurosawa is another crowd-sourced written work from 2ch.  Drawn by the same artist, Kurosawa is an amazing piece of work that takes you on an emotional roller coaster.  You’d think that with a premise like “This is the story of a guy who masturbates” would make this constitute as a dirty and nasty kind of manga.  In fact, it is sort of like that but more.  You got Kurosawa as this loner-type of guy that essentially despises how superficial people are.  When he gets blackmailed into taking “revenge” on several female classmates, that is when things really pick up.  You’ll despise and like Kurosawa at the same time as you read this series.  It is a short 30-ish long story that will leave you with a pretty good feeling, despite the “masturbation” topic.
