L-Elf has his reasons to turn on Dorssia. What does this Princess have to do with it?
RECAP: Even in their time of grief over Aina-chan’s death, Dorssia attacks again. Haruto and Saki have a hard time dealing with the external attack. Meanwhile the interior of Module 77 is also under attack as A-Drei commands naval battleships to fire upon the school. When Haruto finally accepts the pact with L-Elf, the tides of war change, literally.
Haruto makes a really great analogy to how well he and L-Elf will get along and make a good combination. If L-Elf’s views of reality is the bitterness of coffee and Haruto’s naivety is sweet sugar, the two’s thoughts combined will bring about a flavorful future. Okay… so it’s actually kind of a dumb analogy. But it still amuses L-Elf enough to accept Haruto’s terms for their “Contract.” Let us hope this leads to faster progression in the story, rather than constant defending and noob-luckerness on the New JIOR side.
Three people are suffering immensely this episode: Inuzuka Kyuma, Yamada “Thunder” Raizo, and Student Council President Renboukoji Satomi. Inuzuka is obviously in pain due to the loss of Sakurai Aina. Thunder still feels he hasn’t avenged those who were lost in the initial attack. Additionally, he also feels that as the “strongest in the school” he bears a responsibility to protect the other students. This also means he feels slightly responsible for Aina’s death. Next episode, based on the title “Dog and Thunder,” will focus on these two. One of which may end up piloting the Blue Valvrave.
Satomi, on the other hand, is losing his grip on the “power” he holds as Student Council President. He feels that Shoko is taking away everything from him. Furthermore, he is threatened by how close his little sister, Akira, and Shoko have somehow become. If anything, I think Satomi will be the cause of a future betrayal.
An expected reveal, Commander Cain knows more about the Valvrave than he lets on. This mark on his neck is the same symbol we’ve previously seen from the blood cells when Haruto/Saki used their body-switch power. Also, it would seem the birdcage in his office looks to be more important than I originally thought. At first it looked like a bound canary, implying symbolism of entrapment. But it just might be the key to many of the mysteries behind the origin of the Valvrave.
How do buckles work? LOL
