Surprisingly, everyone is able to work together to survive this whole independence thing. But when the climate controls go haywire, what will happen now?
RECAP: With the students having claimed independence, they all work together to gather resources and keep this ship afloat for as long as possible. When an energy consumption failure causes the climate controls to go out of control, they rush to try and get it fixed. In that time, a quarrel between the girls occurs. Meanwhile, L-Elf surveys the deepest parts of JIOR, only to find other-colored Valvrave (parts?) and leads Haruto to find them.
For the most part, this episode is meant to quickly deal with the conflict and resolution as to how our fair students will work together to survive, now that their Module 77 is separated from the main hub of JIOR. While some personal disputes are still lingering, in one episode, I feel that that was all the time they needed to lay out the situation to us. There is definitely no need to drag it out. In addition, I’m hoping the “support” from outside Module 77 (in JIOR and ARUS) will play a part in further escalating the situation our friends are in. By that I mean that I hope social pressure will come into play and everything isn’t only up to the higher-ups of the two opposing nations.
Oh, okay, I need to at least mention how insanely stupid it is to place an important button that “fixes the climate controls” at a hard-to-reach spot. I get that gravity controls or a broken platform are likely to explain it, but it is quite unnecessary for that button to be at THAT particular spot.
Anyways, after everything wraps up in the bulk of the episode, Haruto and Saki discover (or rather are led to by L-Elf) other Valvraves. It’s hard to see if these are specifically other Valvraves or merely alternate armaments that Haruto’s current Valvrave and equip. Because the Opening sequence leaves it to be a mystery as far as other pilots go, it isn’t out of the question that some of Haruto’s friends may become pilots if these are other Valvraves. One thing is for sure though; Haruto will definitely be against others becoming a monster like him. But will he have much choice when the going gets tough?
EDIT: I also forgot to mention that it was mentioned that a “Dr. Tokishima” was involved with Valvrave’s conception. Did anyone see this coming a mile away? Because boy was I surprised! /sarcasm
And so, Saki takes the initiative in this love triangle. Will this “secret” be the edge that Saki has to bring them closer or will Haruto quickly push her off at the beginning of next episode yelling, “What are you doing?!” Personally, I’m rooting for Saki to win, but I have a feeling the latter is going to happen. T_T
Valvrave: “Is this Sexual Intercourse?”
The otaku trio have great ambitions when there is nobody to stop them.
