Manga Monday Ch. 16 – Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou

It’s Manga Monday.  A weekly post highlighting a different series.  I’ll mostly do posts on completed or ongoing series that are regularly updated.  While I do not condone scanlations, please support the creator and licensing companies by purchasing the work where available.

This week’s manga is – Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou (Daily Life with a Monster Girl)

Summary (

Three years ago, the world came to know of the existence of humanoid beast creatures after the government decided to stop hiding their existence from the world. It was decided that they would be integrated into human society, and thus the “Cultural Exchange Between Species Bill” was created. Since then, the cultural exchange program became a huge success helping many species integrate into human society.

Kurusu Kimihito is a volunteer (?) in this exchange program who has been given a Lamia (Snake Girl) named Miia to take care of. After spending some time together, Miia has fallen in love with Kurusu, which isn’t a bad thing per se. However, there is a stipulation in the exchange program that prohibits interbreeding between humans and beast creatures. Violating this law results in a severe punishment for the human. Will Kurusu be able to resist Miia’s advances and keep himself out of trouble?

Hako’s Thoughts:

To cap off the end of February’s Love theme, here’s a funny, yet often erotic, manga that breaks the race barrier unlike any other.  The genre of Monster Girls have seen a huge rise in the past couple years.  It’s strange, I know.  When you design creatures that would normally be scary and evil, but instead make them cute and sexy, it’s bound to turn some heads.  Monster Musume explores the hardships of coexistence, as far as differing races go.  However, it rightfully explores the idea that these monster girls are people too.  Needless to say, the main male lead’s romantic partners don’t end with just Miia (Lamia).  He’ll also encounter a Harpy, a Centaur, and a Slime Girl.  This is definitely a fun series to check out if you’re willing to give the theme a shot.  Just be warned that the series is quite NSFW.

Surprisingly enough, Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed this series.  No word yet on how and when the series will be released.

(Spoiler). In deadline summonnr you can see what kind girl will appear in this series.
lastly, you forgot to mention Miss Smith in here.
