The name of the game is “Manga Monday.” The rules? Hit the “Random” button on any Manga reader website until I find something that looks promising. I’ll mostly do posts on completed or ongoing series that are regularly updated. While I do not condone scanlations, please support the creator and licensing companies by purchasing the work where available.
This week’s manga is – Denpa Kyoushi
Kagami Junichirou was known as a physics genius when he was a teenager, and he was even published in “Nature.” However, after college, he suddenly lost all interest in science. As a NEET, he is devoted himself to his anime blog and nerdy collecting habits. He claims he has a serious illness called “I cant do anything I dont want to do.” Desperate to get him to do something with his life, his little sister manages to get him a job teaching physics at his old high school. He is certainly an unconventional teacher, but he becomes fairly popular with the students. After helping a girl who is being ruthlessly bullied, Kagami finds that he actually likes teaching. Will he continue his career as a weird teacher? Will he go back into physics? Or will he end up back where he started?
Much like last week’s manga post about a teacher who reforms delinquents, I thought it proper to find one that is similar but more fun. Denpa Kyoushi is also another manga that I’ve been following. Wait a minute, this isn’t going by random manga anymore. I should just change the rule-set altogether. Anyways, this manga is a whole lot of fun when it comes to seeing the outrageous ways that Kagami is willing to go through just to help these students of his find their way. The first chapter is just a glimpse of what he is capable of. If you’re looking for a quirky, fun manga with an otaku-main character and enjoy seeing the types of stories where one person’s actions affect a number of lives, Denpa Kyoushi is just for you.
